Venue and social program. The conference will be held in the State Pedagogical University in Drohobych, Stryjska St., 3.
The Drohobych and its area is known by a number of historical monuments which worthwile to see. In particular, the wooden churches of St.George (ca. 1500, UNESCO world heritage cite) and of Holy Cross (early XVI century), Market Square, Historical Museum, old salt plant (dated back to 1250).
The city is the birth place of the astronomer Giorgio Drohobych (1450-1494).
Other locations in the Drohobych region, Nahuievychi and Boryslav, are known in relation to the famous Ukrainian writer Ivan Franko (1856-1916).
There is known resort city Truskavets located quite closely to Drohobych.
A number of excursions and cultural events are planned during the Conference. Namely,

Accommodation of the participants is possible in hotels of the cities of Drohobych and Truskavets. Participants living in the resort Truskavets will be provided with the transportation from Truskavets to Drohobych (distance is about 10 km), at morning and evening.

A limited number (about 45) of participants might be accomodated in the student dormitory (price is about 50 hrn per person per night, multiple rooms). This possibility is reserved for young participants (students and PhD students). If you would like to apply for this possibility, please contact the Organizing Committee till July 10 as soon as possible.
How to reach the conference site.
Drohobych may be reached by bus or train from Lviv.
Buses from Lviv to Drohobych and Truskavets depart each 30 minutes from the bus station located near the Main rail station. Ticket price is 45 hrn.
Local train Lviv-Drohobych-Truskavets departs from the suburban rail station which is located close to the Main rail station. Departure (arrival to Drohobych) times are 7.24 (9.24), 14.02 (15.49), 16.20 (18.08), 20.22 (22.30). Departure (arrival to Lviv) time for the return train Drohobych-Lviv are 6.21 (8.18), 10.55 (13.06), 17.08 (19.20), 20.01 (22.37). Ticket price is 16 hrn.
Drohobych may be reached also by direct trains from Kyiv.
741К Darnytsia-Truskavets (departure from Kyiv 6.44, arrival to Drohobych at 13.25 and to Truskavets at 13.46). Ticket prices are 670 hrn (first class), 400 hrn (second class).
049К Kyiv-Truskavets (departure from Kyiv 20.45, arrival to Drohobych at 7.30 and to Truskavets at 7.57). Ticket prices are 277 and 175 hrn.
Please, take care of the return tickets for these trains.
The location of the University which will host our Conference in Drohobych is shown on the map below. You may walk about 30 minutes from the railway staion. Instead, we suggest you to take the local bus to the downtown; the conference location is nearby.
Local information (visas, currency). Most of participants, including citizens of European Union, do not need visa to enter Ukraine.
Ukrainian currency is hryvnia (hrn in short). The average exchange rate is 24 hrn per euro (mid June).
